We've started a twice monthly walk-in clinic for low cost exams and vaccinations. Heartworm tests and parasite screening will also be available at a reduced fee.
On Friday, May 31 from 6:30pm - 8:00pm, we'll be hosting an evening open house and "mixer" which we're calling "Furry Friday". We'll be inviting a local non-profit group to come and talk about their work - especially pet related. Last month we had Sonoma Valley Dog Owners and Guardians as our guest.
Dr. Tanya Moeller has joined our veterinary staff and will be available one day a week as an internist and ultrasound specialist. Dr. Moeller graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University and completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. She practiced for several years at PetCare in Santa Rosa. Dr.Moeller is board qualified in internal medicine and specializes in ultrasound and oncology. She will be available to help with the difficult and diagnostically challenging cases we so often see in our hospital.
We've also added Dr. Melissa Erickson to our staff who is currently working as a Registered Veterinary Technician while her license is being processed in Sacramento. Dr. Erickson has spent the last couple of years practicing in upper New York State after getting her DVM at the University of Minnesota in 2010.
We're also excited to announce that we will be holding a raffle each month to benefit our local schools. The tickets will be $5 and the winner will be entitled to a free dental cleaning for their dog or cat (up to $500 value).
